MEET JONATHAN

New Leadership Delivering Results for Our Community

I am excited to work on making a good system even better.  We can never stop trying to reach excellence for our students.  Today’s student is tomorrow’s citizen.

The past two years of Covid-19 have taken a toll on our children.  The loss of social interaction, valuable classroom instruction, extracurricular activities, and an increase in mental health issues have caused irreversible damage.  Watching our students struggle through Covid-19, challenged me to find better solutions to shutting down our schools, teaching virtually and making our children wear masks.  My goal is to keep our children in the classroom and prevent mask mandates.

My wife, Carolyn, and I have been married since 2006.  Carolyn has two sons who have been through the Bartlesville Public Schools and we have one who is still in high school at BHS.  My goal is to restore and support parent’s rights and to encourage their involvement in the classroom, through volunteer opportunities and by attending school board meetings.

As a community volunteer, I believe our children deserve the best education possible regardless of zip code, race, or socio economic status.  I am worried about the failing test scores for our underserved elementary schools.  My goal is to work one on one with the teachers, the School Board and State legislatures to ensure that teachers are provided the necessary tools, supplies, and training to help our students succeed.

As a conservative Christian, I do not believe that politics belong in the classroom.  I believe children should be taught traditional academic subjects without the interference of CRT, SEL or any political doctrines.  My goal is to ensure that these political doctrines do not pervade the Bartlesville School System.

We cannot be afraid to speak up and get involved.

We would like to thank every person who has dedicated their time and resources in my run for Bartlesville Public School Board.  Your support has been overwhelming and humbling to say the least.
